"Soving People Problems At Work"
Whoever said 'soft skills' issues are inconsequential to profits never had to deal with the
productivity disruptions of resentful, sick or bickering employees.
The #1 resentment of employees is feeling criticized. Express or listen to criticism without compromising authority. Make performance feedback less threatening for management and staff. Consultation or intervention with personnel with drug/alcohol problems. Prevent wrongful termination and sexual harassment claims. Prevent loss of key personnel, customers or clients. Make difficult people want to change. Eliminate interdepartmental feuds. Defuse potentially violent situations. Marc has experience seeing employees referred by their employers for anger problems.

Marc is excellent at helping intervene when it becomes clear that someones' personality style, or conflict with others is hurting the company.
Intervention and consultation with executives having drug/alcohol or other addictions.
Marc can help families or businesses with conflict that needs to be mediated.
Some small companies or partnerships end up with big headaches because of one partner or person who has a mental health problems. Doing an intervention with these individuals is sometimes the only way that they find the motivation to changes. It has been shown in alcoholism and drug cases that the involvement of the family and friends increases the likelihood of the person eventually getting clean and sober.
The procedure for conducting an intervention for a family or for a company is that I meet with the whole group, without the target person of the intervention present. In that session, I will help the group collectively and individually gather their information and to present their thoughts, feelings and intentions in the most effective manner. There are many common mistakes that are made at this point in the planning. It helps to have experience in these matters that help the odds of success increase. This makes it harder for the target of the intervention to feel their own sense of shame or guilt that might help them make a decision to get help and to recover.
